Morgan County Jail in Decatur, Alabama is a medium-security facility with a capacity of around 300 inmates. It houses juveniles and adults and was opened in 2006 to replace the previous county jail.

The jail is a non-contact facility, requiring visits to be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. It is operated by the Alabama Department of Corrections and has been in operation since 1818.

In 2023, and inmate awaiting sentencing escaped through a window of the jail. Extensive interviews and quick coordination enabled the escapee to be apprehended in Tennessee and returned to Morgan County Jail.
