Two custody options are offered within this program, and they are a 168 day or 252 day program, offering regular school and other classes. The Superintendent of Kern County Schools oversees the school program within the jail and they cover all of the classes and topics that the public school does to ensure that they keep up with their class. Mental health care is provided and several counselling sessions, classes, rehabilitation programs, parenting classes, life skills, etc. are offered. Each group of students is created based upon their assessment and behavioral expectations to create an environment for success and progress to be made. These privileges may be removed at any time for behavior concerns, and only outgoing calls are allowed. Visitation: Parents and guardians may visit on Sundays during the hours of 2pm to 4pm. Infants and children may visit their parent in the facility on Saturdays between 10am and 11am.
