Pathways Academy is a rehabilitation program that is for female young offenders, and it houses up to 23 at one time. There are four different lengths for the program to address the needs of the specific individuals and their mental health, physical health, and rehabilitation needs. Participants may be part of the 12 week program, the 18 week one, 24 weeks, or they may be present for 36 weeks. No youth will be a resident in the facility for longer than the 36 week program and they are assigned to a length depending upon their risk of reoffending or the risk to themselves or others. The seriousness of the charges they face will be part of this determination. Regular attendance at school classes that are provided onsite are mandatory, as well as participating in some enrichment classes such as physical education, life skills, sports, and community service. After their release each of the attendees will become part of the Aftercare Unit program and they will be assisted in returning to their community.Inmate Services
