About the Blythe Jail - Riverside County
The Riverside County Blythe Jail in California has a capacity of 121 beds. It is administered under the direction of a Captain and was built in 1964. The state plans to close the prison and deactivate it, along with another prison in Kern County. The county as a whole has the capacity to hold 5,520 people across its five jails. The facility mainly houses pretrial detainees and those waiting for their sentences and was built in 1944. The Blythe Jail facility in Riverside County, California is located at 260 N Spring St, Blythe, CA 92225. The contact number for the jail is 760-921-5780 or 951-341-8888. Visiting hours at the Blythe Jail Facility in Riverside County, California are Monday to Friday from 1pm to 6pm and weekends from 7am to 5pm. Visits must be scheduled one day prior by calling 951-341-8888 between 9am and 5pm. Visitors must bring a photograph of the inmate with them. The Blythe Jail is one of five correctional facilities operated by the Riverside County Sheriff's Department in California. It was built in 1964 and is administered by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR). Inmates are allowed visitors, but due to physical distancing requirements, only one visitor per inmate will be allowed. The CDCR recently announced plans to close the Blythe Jail. The Blythe Jail Facility in Riverside County, California is unique in that it houses inmates ranging from low level misdemeanor offenders to those awaiting trial for violent crimes such as robbery, rape, and murder. It is administered under the direction of a Captain and has specific rules for visiting inmates.
