About the Catoosa County Jail

Covering 54,000 square feet and housing up to 248 inmates at any time, the Catoosa County Jail houses all of the male and female offenders within Catoosa County.

To provide information on inmates there is a front desk available at 706-935-2424 and an online look up.

It also serves the Cities of Fort Oglethorpe and Ringgold, housing people both before they have had their trial and after they are sentenced, ensuring the building is both secure and safe for inmates, staff, and visitors.

Medical care is provided for all inmates onsite, and they will have access to outside care when required, as well as access to mental health care for those who need it, religious services for those who attend, and recreational time to encourage rest and socialization.

Meals that are provided are based upon nutritional needs for adults, and they are created to meet the needs of all inmates.

Part of the rehabilitation efforts include support groups and interactions with others, but also contact with outside support in family and friends, as well as other treatments and courses that are needed.

Phones are provided in the common areas and provide inmates the opportunity to make outgoing phone calls every day, with phones being on and available from 7:30 am until 10 pm every day. Calls can be made collect or direct.

Mail is another of the ways inmates can have contact with those outside of the jail, and they can communicate only with people who are not incarcerated at any facility.
