About the Catron County Jail & Sheriff
The Catron County Jail is operated and maintained by the local county sheriff’s office. They are not only responsible for the protection and security of the community, but also for the safety and security of the inmates who are under their care. Within the facility there are many programs that offer medical care, mental health care, access to clothing and bedding, balanced meals, and the chance to remain in contact with friends and family through phone calls, mail, and visits. All visits remain no contact, and they occur on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during the hours of 1pm to 3pm. Each visit is 30 minutes in length, and each visitor must arrive early to be screened through security, as well as be present on the approved visitor list for that inmate. During a visit, friends and family are also able to deposit money to the account of an inmate to fund their commissary purchases, and mail can be sent to Catron County Sheriff’s Office, Care of the inmates' full name, at PO Box 467 Reserve, NM 87830.
