Each of the individual cells is centered around a common area and these create housing pods with two levels of cells in each pod. Housing pods operate as small communities eating meals together, having recreation or exercise together, and sharing visiting hours.
Inmates are able to receive mail, and to respond, provided it has a complete return address and contains no contraband, candy or food, Polaroid pictures, or any explicit content.

Money may also be sent to the jail in the form of money order either through the mail or directly in the lobby to allow inmates access to commissary purchase.
Outgoing phone calls are also available from 10am until 10pm every day and each call is made collect and will be charged to the account of the receiver, or an account can be prepaid online or in the lobby.
One visit is permitted each day for each inmate, and this must be scheduled in advance to ensure the inmate arrives at the visitation kiosk for that time. Visits are scheduled on Saturday for even cells and Sunday for odd cell, going from 9:00 am to 7:50 pm.
