Thes encourage the juveniles to be respectful and kind to others, encourage growth in social skills and life skills, and promote a healthy and positive environment for staff and students. Structure is enforced throughout each day to encourage discipline and to maintain the safety of all present, staff are also working towards being role models for positive interactions and attitude, positive behaviors, and dignity and respect for others. The weekend program allows for some youth to attend during weekends only and remain in their home with their family, regular schooling, and other activities. Students in the location are between 10 and 18 years of age, both male and female, and this applies to both the detention and the shelter care programs.
