INTERESTING FACTS about the Chester County Jail: This facility houses around 90 inmates, and was built in the 1970’s. An addition was added in 2009. Major structural issues are being reported by staff, in 2023. The county is concerned about the safety of officers and employees who are having to struggle with maintenance and security issues.

During COVID, in person visitation was halted for inmates throughout the country. It prompted facilities to make it a priority to upgrade their abilities to have video visitation.
