Inmates of Clinton County will be waiting for their trial or they will be serving only a short sentence of less than a year, on either felony or misdemeanor charges.

Each cell block has phone banks, and they are active from 8am until 10pm every day. All phone calls are collect or prepaid with an account created and funded by friends or family who are not incarcerated, and this can be accessed online.
The new Clinton County Justice Center, which contains the jail, the sheriff, a small medical center and a 911 Center includes a jail pod design that arranges sections of cells around a central control station for continuous monitoring of inmates, replaces the existing linear layout. This makes it easier to keep inmates separated by gener and security classifications.

To visit an inmate, create an account and schedule your visit online, and all appointments will occur Monday to Friday 1:00pm-3:30pm.
Some inmates will be participating in the work release program and their visits will need to be scheduled around their working hours, when they are present within the facility.
