About the Seneca County Jail
Serving as the main holding jail for all of Seneca County, this jail has been improved and expanded from 62 beds in 1994 when it opened to the 122 bed facility that it now is. With both single cells and dormitory style units, it holds all those who are arrested in the area and required 46 full time officers along with other staff. Programming that helps the inmates achieve their GED and other educational goals are in place to help improve their reintegration after their release. All inmates are encouraged to engage in the programs that are most applicable to them and to receive visits when they can. These interactions can help maintain the feeling of community and belonging, increasing the successful reintegration and reducing the rate at which they return to jail in the future. Inmates, or people who have been recently arrested, can be located through calling the local jails or by using the online inmate locator. This will provide information on where they are being held and for those who have been sentenced it may list how long it is and when they are expected to be released. Tablets are used in this facility and allow for more flexible visits and the ability to send messages, this program can be accessed through icsolutions.com. VIsits may be booked on Sundays with males having visiting times of 8-10am, 12:30-4pm, 5;30-7:30 pm and female inmates having visits 10am-11am, 7:30-8:30pm.

Inmate Money Accounts

How Do You Deposit Money for an Inmate in the Seneca County Jail?

There are FOUR options for putting money on an inmate's books:

Option 1 - Dropping Money at the Jail
Bring money to the jail in person.
Either the jail personnel will process the Inmate Account payment or you will use a Jail ATM self-serve kiosk in the lobbies that accepts cash, debit or credit cards.

Option 2 - Deposit Inmate Money Online
Seneca County Jail uses Jail ATM to process all online deposits to an inmate's account. The company charges you a small fee for doing so, but the fee probably isn't as much as gas and parking would cost to take it to the jail in person.

Option 3 - Mail the Inmate Deposit to the Jail
Mailing a deposit takes more time to process than the other methods but can be done if you live too far away to bring it in person and you don't have a debit/credit card for online deposits. Never send cash. Always send a Money Order from the US Post Office, a reputable bank or Western Union. Call the Seneca County Jail first as they may want you to do this online or at the jail kiosk instead.
Make the Money Order out to the inmate's name and put their Inmate ID# in memo section of the Money Order.
3040 South State Route 100
Tiffin, OH 44883

Option 4 - Make an Inmate Deposit with Jail ATM over the Phone by calling 877-810-0914
To do this you will need the inmate's offender # (inmate ID #) and full legal name.
