Deposit Money for an Inmate in the Autauga Metro Jail

Deposits for people held at the Metro Jail go through NCIC, which lists the Prattville jail on ncic.com. That one balance pays for calls, messages and commissary orders.

Mailing bills or a personal check to Court Street won't work. If you want to send a money order instead, get approval from jail staff at 334-361-2600 first.

Keep the Autauga booking ID handy while paying. Our Autauga inmate search page shows where to find the number.

Online deposits are made at ncic.com with a debit or credit card, and NCIC adds its fee on the payment screen.

Which website takes deposits for a person held at the Metro Jail?

NCIC handles Metro Jail deposits through its Autauga County Metro Jail deposit page and at 800-943-2189, and one NCIC balance covers both calls and store purchases. Ring 334-361-2600 if a payment screen looks unfamiliar.

Is an envelope of bills or a personal check ever accepted at Court Street?

Neither one is accepted by mail. Pay through NCIC instead, and mail a money order (a U.S. Postal Service one is safest) only after Metro Jail staff approve it and name the payee. Put the inmate’s full name and booking number on the envelope and on the memo line.

Once funds land on a Metro Jail balance, what can my loved one spend them on?

Funds cover calls and other services, and commissary balances buy snacks or hygiene goods. NCIC’s Autauga page accepts $10, $15, $20, $25, $50 or $100 per deposit, posts it immediately, and adds taxes once your billing address is verified.

What will an Autauga deposit form ask for?

Have the inmate's legal name and booking number, which our Autauga inmate search page helps you find. After the deposit lands, our Autauga store page shows what that balance can buy.

What is the Purpose of an Inmate Account?

Each person booked into the Metro Jail on Court Street gets a personal account that the jail tracks by booking number. Money deposited for them through NCIC lands in that balance, and they draw on it to buy snack food, hygiene supplies, stamps and writing paper, and to pay for phone time and messages.

The account also covers jail charges, such as any medical co-pays, and whatever is left over goes back to the person on release. To make a deposit, see the steps above, or call the jail at 334-361-2600 with questions about a balance.
