Tallapoosa County Jail is an advanced facility that utilizes the latest technology. It has a capacity of 170 inmates and is located at 316 Industrial Park Drive, Dadeville, AL 36853.

Located in the industrial park, the Tallapoosa County Jail is the mail jail for all of Tallapoosa County and houses both misdemeanor and felony arrests during their wait for trial and during their sentence. The jail is operated under the Sheriff’s Office and is staffed around the clock every day of the year, with staff being reachable by phone for general questions or concerns at 256-825-1039 and an online access is provided for the status of all inmates. 

The phone number of the jail is 256-825-1039. Visiting hours are Monday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, by appointment only.

Inmates can receive mail from loved ones and publications from publishers, and money orders can be sent to the inmate through the post office or brought to the facility's kiosk.

Inmates are not allowed to communicate with other inmates in the Jail or with inmates in other facilities.

Special visits can be arranged for persons not on the approved visitor list or for family visits for a seriously ill or injured inmate. All visitors must wear appropriate clothing, including shoes and a shirt, and are subject to search once inside the facility.
