About the Maguire Correctional Facility
The San Mateo County Maguire Correctional Facility in California has a capacity of around 1000 inmates. It opened in 1856 and mainly houses pretrial detainees and those waiting for their sentences. The facility boasts of about 3020 bookings yearly. The San Mateo County Maguire Correctional Facility is located at 300 Bradford Street, Redwood City, CA, 94063. Visitors must pre-register by calling (650)363-4000 and asking for extension 6070. Visiting hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 3:00pm. Visits to inmates at the Maguire Correctional Facility in San Mateo County, California can be scheduled between 6:30am and 9:30pm. Visiting hours are 7:30am to 9pm on weekdays and 7:30am to 2:30pm on weekends. Each inmate is allowed one or two visits per week, ranging from 15 minutes to one hour in length. Special privileges may allow additional visits. The Maguire Correctional Facility in San Mateo County, California has been the subject of a lawsuit alleging that its recently installed jail email system snoops on legal emails. The facility also suffers from outdated conditions and has limited resources for inmates with substance abuse problems.   • Only one person allowed per visit. You must at least 18.  Children not allowed.
  • State or Federal government issued ID only.
  • On the day of the visit you must check in AT LEAST 15 minutes prior to their visitation start time and no more than 45 minutes prior to the scheduled visit.
  • Visitors arriving late (less than 15 minutes late) will only receive the balance of the remaining visit time.
  • If a visitor is more than 15 minutes late the visit is automatically cancelled.
  • Cancelled visits will not be rescheduled. All visiting times will end on schedule.
