Only those who are under the age of 18 may be housed at this facility, keeping youth safe from the influence and safety risks of being held with adult offenders. Throughout their incarceration students will have access to HIV prevention, aggression resistance, drug education, addictions treatment, gardening classes, cooking, and dance classes, among others. General education is continued by the local schools to ensure each youth remains up to date with their coursework and on track to graduate with their peers. Medical, dental, and psychological services are provided as needed to improve the mental and physical health of residents. Cognitive behavior training is used to encourage healthy habits and positive decisions. All mail will be read and censored, rejected, or approved and provided to the resident.
