The LA COUNTY JAIL - Century Regional Detention Facility in the city of Lynwood, Los Angeles County, California is an all female maximum-security facility. Some people refer to it as the 'Lynwood Jail' or the 'Century Jail for Women'. All the women being held by the Los Angeles County Sheriff are housed here, both after their arrest, while they are awaiting trial of after they have been convicted and then sentenced to serve one year or less.
