About the Maricopa County Intake Transfer & Release Facility

Maricopa County Intake Transfer & Release Facility is a 190,000 square foot facility that opened in 2020, replacing the Central Intake processing center at the 4th Avenue Jail in downtown Phoenix.

It includes 1,280 beds, a 512-bed medical unit, and modern amenities such as an inmate search system. It is located at 2670 S 28th Dr. Phoenix, AZ 85009 and can be contacted at 602-876-0322.

It is open 24/7, with visitation hours 9am to 4:30pm daily excluding holidays, and deposits can be made 24/7 via phone or online. The facility processes approximately 100,000 bookings and 90,000 releases each year.

Correctional Health Services provides comprehensive services to inmates including an Intake, Transfer, Release (ITR) Clinic. Inmates can be looked up by their ID number or name using the Inmate Search link on the facility's website.
