About the Maricopa County Custody Bureau
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) in Arizona is located at 550 W. Jackson St. Phoenix, AZ 85003 and operates several jails across the county. It has a non-emergency contact number of (602) 876-1011, an emergency contact number of 911, an inmate locator number of (602) 876-0322, and an inmate library phone number of (602) 876-5633. The MCSO is the largest sheriff's office in Arizona and the inmate capacity of its Lower Buckeye Jail, an all-male facility, is 2,382. Remote video visits take place through GTL's GettingOut service and cost $0.25 per minute, and onsite visits are allowed between 9am and 5pm, with each inmate only allowed one 30-minute visit per week. They also offer a Cadet Program which prepares young men and women who are interested in becoming Sheriff's Deputies, as well as Correctional Health Services for those affected by COVID-19. Before the pandemic, the agency had 30 vacancies but now they are north of 400. Due to COVID-19, Maricopa County Sheriff Office (MCSO) jails have implemented preventative measures to mitigate the potential spread of the virus, including supplemental screening to determine the presence of symptoms or recent contacts with infected individuals. The MCSO can be sued under Arizona law and has been subject to a U.S. district court ruling for its grossly inadequate conditions, including understaffing and a winter surge of COVID-19 cases. It is also committed to improving community relations and strengthening the relationship between MCSO and the Latino community.

There are five choices for putting money on an inmate's books that may be used for paying an inmate's Bond or Bail.

Check with Maricopa County Custody Bureau by calling 602-876-0322 prior to paying a bond online as this is being rolled out to different facilities slowly.

1. Commissary money in the form of a money order may be mailed to:

2. You may use cash or credit/debit cards at any time by using the kiosk located in the front lobby.  The fee for the use of the ATM is generally $1.50 per transaction for cash and 10% fee for credit/debit cards.

4Cash deposits to ConnectNetwork are now available at 26,000 retail locations nationwide including Walmart, ACE, Kmart, Kroger, and more. 5. You can call customer service 24/7 at 877-650-4249 and get instructions for depositing money over the phone using a debit or credit card.
