How do I contact an inmate?

There are several ways to contact an inmate:

  • Writing letters
  • Controlled email messaging system
  • Visitation

One thing you cannot do to contact an inmate is phone him or her directly. To find out what the phone policies are for your lockup, use our "Find a Facility" search.

Warning: All mail, email and phone conversations with inmates are monitored and/or recorded by the jail or prison system.
