Locate the state where you think they are being held.
You must first go to any Federal Bureau of Prisons facility.
In order for a bail company to post bail on behalf of the arrestee, first the bail company has to get information about the arrestee’s situation, such as:
•where the person is being detained
• what the charges are
• how long they’ve been in jail
• how long they have been living in their current residence
• if they work and how long they have worked if they do.
If the bailbondsman determines that the risk is worth it they will do the appropriate paperwork and collect their fee. They will then post bail at the jail and the offender will be released.
