How soon can a person get bailed out after their arrest?

As soon as a person is booked into jail and their bail is determined they can get released on bail. The booking process can take anywhere from an hour to several days, depending on how busy a jail’s intake center is.

The time before a person’s bail is set is variable. It can be an hour if it is a set fine or several days if it is an amount that has to be determined by a judge or magistrate.
