What companies and publishers can I use to send books, magazines or newspapers to an inmate?

Unless your jail or prison specifically allows it, lockups will not allow books to be brought directly to an inmate by friends or family members, so they will have to be shipped. Libraries and bookstores can make arrangements to ship donated books, and if you want to get books and journals to an inmate, they must be shipped from a trusted source such as Barnes and Noble or Amazon. Typically, books must be paperbacks.
