What is a video visit?

A video visit is a visit between an inmate and a friend or family member using computers to transmit the video and audio to each other.

Many jails, in order to keep staffing to a minimum, are changing to video visits only. Video visits are done at the facility, however some jails are now allowing you to use your home computer to access an inmate visit.
